Our kitchen is led by Master Chef of Great Britain, Steven Pidgeon leads and is supported by a talented and enthusiastic young team. Seasonality, outstanding local produce and creativity are all high on the agenda throughout our fine dining, brassiere style and hearty pub classics menu options.
Steve is a true Devonian having lived and worked in the county all of his life. His restaurant has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes for 20 years continuously and he is one of only 80 Master Chefs of Great Britain.
Nearly every restaurant claims to use only the finest quality produce which is sourced from local suppliers. But in the case of the Arundell this is undoubtedly true. Not only does Steve have a wealth of fresh local produce at his disposal from the kitchen garden, from home-grown strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and currants to elderflower, fennel, spinach leaves and shallots, he will also will cook guests’ catch or game and have it ready for them for dinner. Steve has gained an excellent reputation both locally and nationally for creating outstanding modern British cuisine.
